Crash events are classified by price shape: a directional down-move without a confirmed mechanism. Like pumps, this label is used when the cause is not yet enriched: a genuine cascade would carry the liquidation_cascade label, and a known macro trigger would carry fomc or cpi. These events are the honest baseline: something moved the market and the tape is here, but the why is yours to read.
