Refund Policy
LAST UPDATED · 2026-08-15
The short version
Within 14 days of a charge, we refund it in full, no questions asked. Email [email protected] from the address on the account.
You should not need this page
EdgeDepth has a free tier that needs no payment method, and the terminal is open source: you can run the whole client yourself, replay the free library packs and decide whether the product is for you before any money changes hands. Paying should be the last step, not the first.
Card payments
Card subscriptions are charged by Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Within 14 days of a charge, we refund that charge in full. The money goes back to the card you paid with, and your bank typically posts it in 5 to 10 business days.
- To stop future renewals without asking for anything, cancel yourself from Account, then Billing. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves your access running to the end of the period you already paid for.
- A cancellation on its own is not a refund request. If you want the last charge back as well, say so in the email.
Bitcoin payments
Bitcoin access is prepaid and does not renew automatically, so there is no recurring charge to stop. You buy a period, we email you before it ends, and access lapses if you choose not to renew.
- Within 14 days of a payment, we refund it in full. We send back the same amount of BTC you paid, to an address you give us.
- Bitcoin moves against the dollar, so the dollar value you receive back may be higher or lower than the dollar value you paid. We refund the coin, not the dollar figure.
- Network fees for the return transaction come out of our side, not yours.
After 14 days
As a rule we do not refund the period you are already in. It is not an absolute rule. If something went wrong, if the product did not do what this site said it does, or if you were charged for a renewal you did not intend, email [email protected] and we will look at it properly. During early access these are handled personally, not by a form.
We would rather refund someone who is unhappy than keep money from a product that was not what they expected.
What we do not refund
- Periods that have already fully elapsed, more than 14 days after the charge that paid for them.
- Accounts terminated for abuse under section 5 of the Terms, where prepaid access is forfeited.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here reduces rights you have under consumer law that cannot be contracted out of. EdgeDepth is operated from New Zealand, so the Consumer Guarantees Act applies to New Zealand consumers alongside this policy. If your local consumer law gives you a longer or stronger right than this page does, that law wins.
Asking for a refund
Email [email protected] from the email address on the account and tell us which charge you mean. You do not need to give a reason. Refunds are issued to the original payment method; we cannot send a card refund to a different card, or a Bitcoin refund to a card.
