Data Use License

LAST UPDATED · 2026-07-17

1. Scope and version

This EdgeDepth Data Use License (“License”), version 1.0, governs your use of the market-event datasets EdgeDepth publishes: each archived event page under /events, its structured metadata, and the tick-by-tick replay data behind it (the “Data”). It supplements, and does not replace, the EdgeDepth Terms of Service; where the two conflict on data use, this License controls. EdgeDepth may publish revised versions, and the version in effect on the date you access the Data applies.

2. What the Data is, and who created it

Each EdgeDepth event is a defined historical window reconstructed from exchange-native market streams: trades, level-2 order-book updates, best-bid-and-offer updates, liquidations, open interest, funding and derived point-in-time features, synchronized for tick-by-tick replay. The current published replay record is Binance USD-M scoped. Live source capture originates from third-party venues, currently Binance USD-M and Hyperliquid perpetual futures; those venues are the upstream source, not the licensor, and their own terms govern the raw feed. EdgeDepth is the creator and publisher of the compiled, normalized, reconstructed and enriched dataset and claims rights in that compilation, enrichment and presentation, not in the underlying public market facts.

3. Permitted use

Subject to this License, EdgeDepth grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to view, replay and analyse the Data for your own trading research, education and personal use. You may take screenshots of, and quote limited factual figures from, individual event pages (for example a headline move, a liquidation total or a timestamp) in commentary, research notes, articles or social posts, provided you attribute EdgeDepth and, where practical, link to the specific event page.

4. Attribution

Where you reproduce screenshots or non-trivial figures, credit “EdgeDepth” and link to the source event URL. Do not present the Data in a way that implies EdgeDepth endorses you, your firm, or any trading decision.

5. Restrictions

You may not, without a separate written agreement with EdgeDepth:

(a) redistribute, resell, sublicense, publish or otherwise make available the Data, or any substantial part of it (including exported replay bundles), as a standalone dataset or feed; (b) bulk-download, scrape, crawl or systematically extract the Data, or use automated means to reconstruct a substantial part of the archive; (c) use the Data to build, train or populate a competing dataset, market-replay product or data service; (d) remove, obscure or alter any attribution, identifier or provenance metadata; or (e) use the Data for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any exchange’s terms.

Quoting a handful of figures or a single screenshot for commentary is permitted under section 3; wholesale republication of an event’s data is not.

6. Free and paid access

Some event landing pages are publicly viewable while the full tick-by-tick replay dataset requires a Pro or Research entitlement. Public visibility of a landing page does not place the underlying replay dataset in the public domain or make it free to reuse. The per-event “isAccessibleForFree” flag in our structured data reflects whether that event’s replay is currently free to access; it is not a grant of redistribution rights.

7. Commercial, API and raw-data licensing

Commercial redistribution, API access, bulk historical data, and any use beyond sections 3 and 4 require a separate license. Contact [email protected] to discuss commercial or research licensing.

8. No warranty

The Data is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. Market data is derived from third-party feeds and reconstructed; EdgeDepth does not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for any purpose. Nothing in the Data is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and you are solely responsible for decisions you make using it. This section is subject to any rights that cannot be excluded under New Zealand consumer law.

9. Termination and governing law

EdgeDepth may suspend or revoke this License if you breach it. This License is governed by the laws of New Zealand. For questions or licensing requests, contact [email protected].
