← All comparisons

When Exocharts fits

Exocharts offers footprint clusters, profiles and TPO in its web platform, with additional workspace and market tools in Desktop Pro.

When EdgeDepth fits

EdgeDepth combines live order-flow views and hosted tick replay with a way to investigate the buildup to a move and test supported setups across recorded Binance markets.

What each workflow gives you

ChartingFootprints, volume and delta profiles, TPO, open interest and VWAP in the web platform.Live liquidity heatmap, footprint charts, TPO, volume profiles, sessions, VWAP, DOM and trade tape in the hosted browser terminal. Inspect these views in recorded replay as well.
ReplayThe official comparison lists replay, DOM and tape in Desktop Pro; these are not listed as web features.Replay recorded trades and order-book updates with heatmaps, footprints and profiles. Seek through the recorded sequence in the browser. Available views depend on recorded streams and plan access.
Market coverageWeb covers Bybit, OKX and Binance Futures. Desktop adds more venues and legacy-market connections.Research covers Binance USDT-M; live coverage includes Binance USDT-M, Hyperliquid and Bybit perpetuals. Live analysis and recorded replay sit alongside research; broker order execution is not provided.
Research workflowThe reviewed overview documents chart analysis. It does not establish an equivalent population-study workflow.Start with a coin or chart, review a supported definition and compare its historical outcomes. Access the same research engine through the browser, REST or MCP.

EDGEDEPTH FOOTPRINT CHARTS Read traded volume at each price in the hosted live terminal and in recorded replay. Replay requires the corresponding historical volume data and plan access.

Live order flow, recorded replay and research together

Read resting liquidity on the order-book heatmap, inspect executed volume in footprints, and use TPO, session profiles and VWAP for context. The liquidation layers add a separate view: modeled liquidation pressure is distinct from resting orders and observed liquidation prints.

Those tools support a complete visual investigation inside EdgeDepth. Research adds another step when useful: define a supported condition, count its matches and inspect what followed across the selected record. Open the terminal or test a question.

How it could fit your research

Compare the particular venues, views and historical windows you use. EdgeDepth adds guided setup investigation and historical outcome comparisons to its browser terminal.

In EdgeDepth, review the exact setup, markets and dates. Read both favourable and adverse outcomes, check missing windows and inspect counterexamples. A same-scope unconditional reference includes matches and is not a matched control group. An interesting pattern is a reason for another check, not proof of profitability.

Coverage and access matter

Search can reach the full verified research record, with availability varying by measurement and market. Pro tick replay covers 90 days; Research reaches the recorded order book, from 15 May 2026. Research history and replay coverage are different: the record is searchable from 15 July 2025, but days before the book cannot be replayed. Check coverage and current plans for your intended workflow.

EdgeDepth has live order flow, an event archive, lessons and open-source terminal tools alongside research. It does not execute trades. A monitored condition means the setup occurred again, not that an order should be placed.

Common questions

Does Exocharts have replay? #

Yes. Its documentation lists replay in Desktop Pro. Compare the data and access you need; this page does not claim that replay is exclusive to EdgeDepth.

Can I inspect EdgeDepth before paying? #

Yes. The hosted live terminal has a free tier, and public demos let you inspect replay. The open-source terminal can run with a compatible gateway. Advanced hosted features, research allowances and replay access vary by plan; existing public reports are free to read.
